Revisiting an Old Home

At the end of January I went to one of my favorite places in the world, San Francisco!  I had a two-week vacation from work at English National Ballet, and after wanting to go back for a long time I was finally able to make it happen.

I worked with San Francisco Ballet for four years and studied in the school's year-round program for one year.  I also grew up going to San Francisco during the summer so that I could attend San Francisco Ballet's five-week intensive program.  This was the first time I had been back to SF since moving to London for English National Ballet. I can't believe it has already been almost three full years now!

I was so grateful to be accompanied by my boyfriend, Daniele.  He had been to America before, but never to San Fran.  It was great to be able to see the city through new eyes with him by my side.

I am lucky to say that I have some pretty amazing friends there too.  It was fantastic to be able to catch up face to face with these crazy artists! They sure do know how to fill me with inspiration.

There was not nearly enough time -- there never is with these types of trips -- but Daniele and I saw as much of the city as possible!  Here are a few images from our sightseeing both in the city and on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge.

I also took some company classes to stay in shape and watched a number of performances during our stay.  It was so inspiring to see San Francisco Ballet from the inside again.  It truly is an incredible company!

I hope you all have enjoyed reading some thoughts and seeing a few pictures from my trip!  If you didn't see it already, I also put a short video together on my YouTube Channel.

My next blog will be about English National Ballet's tour to Oman, so make sure to come back soon!
